In January 2024, Ashlee and Sean packed up their life in Minnesota and made the leap to Colorado-a decision rooted in adventure, wellness, and the desire for a fresh start. After selling their portion of FlowFit Yoga Studio, Ashlee, a seasoned wellness professional with over 10 years of experience, knew she wasn’t done creating spaces that help people feel better in their bodies and more connected to themselves and others.

Sean, with a background in corporate finance, was equally ready to take part in something new-something that would challenge them both physically and mentally in all the right ways. Together, they committed to making their health and happiness a top priority, exploring the mountains, camping under the stars, rafting through canyons, and taking long walks with their pup.

Colorado quickly became more than a place to live-it became a lifestyle. One rooted in movement, nature, and presence.

From Personal Wellness to Shared Purpose

As they settled in, the question arose: What do we want to build here?

Ashlee knew the answer would lie at the intersection of health, connection, and community. She had spent years leading retreats, workshops, and fitness classes-bringing people together in meaningful ways. Now, she was ready to take that experience and create something different, something that could help people feel better while also helping them find their people in a new city.

After exploring a variety of sauna experiences and researching different trailer-style setups, they were hooked. The power of the heat, combined with the shared experience of stepping into it together, created something truly special. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a deep appreciation for the way sauna brings people together-quietly, powerfully, and almost magically.

And just like that, Cedar & Steam Sauna was born.
